SHORT BIOGRAPHY
David Irving is a British author and historian whose work draws extensively on
original documents, private diaries, unpublished correspondence, government
files, and firsthand interviews. Over more than fifty years he has published
books on the Second World War, German military and political leadership,
Churchill, Dresden, and related twentieth-century subjects.

LONG BIOGRAPHY
David Irving is a British author and historian who has spent more than fifty
years conducting primary-source research in archives across Europe, North
America, and elsewhere. His books rely extensively on private diaries,
unpublished letters, government and military files, and firsthand interviews
with participants in twentieth-century events.

His first book, The Destruction of Dresden, appeared in 1963. It was followed
by works including The Mare's Nest, The Virus House (also published as The
German Atomic Bomb), The Rise and Fall of the Luftwaffe, Hitler's War, The
Trail of the Fox, Göring, Goebbels: Mastermind of the Third Reich, Churchill's
War, and True Himmler. His interpretations and conclusions have attracted
sustained controversy; Irving Books presents his published work together with
source links and archival context so readers can examine the record directly.
