Churchill’s War, the first two volumes, as a set
David Irving’s Churchill’s War follows Winston Churchill from the political wilderness of the 1930s into the war he had worked for. Volume I: The Struggle for Power (first published 1987) takes the story through the first year of the war; Volume II: Triumph in Adversity (2001) continues it into 1941 and 1942. Both volumes are built from the private diaries, letters and official records Irving gathered over thirty years, with the sources cited in full.
