Cartoonist David Smith drew this caricature for The Guardian's 1977 review of David Irving's Hitler's War. Irving later purchased the original drawing and the rights to use it, and the image became a familiar Focal Point icon. Smith subsequently produced several further commissioned caricatures for Focal Point.
This edition reproduces that original artwork and is individually marked by David with a fresh right-thumb impression.
The product image shows the supplied caricature artwork without publishing a high-resolution biometric impression. David applies a fresh mark in the selected ink before dispatch.
This is personally marked with an original right-thumb impression, not hand-signed. Position, clarity, and impression vary naturally, so every example is different. Frames and display accessories are not included.
