Historical Material Policy ->

About Volume I

Business, politics, the press and revolution are the subjects of this opening volume. Its articles introduce the series’ conspiracy claims and invoke the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion, showing how fabricated material was used to give prejudice the appearance of evidence.

Reader advisory

This historical source contains antisemitic propaganda, slurs, false allegations and conspiracy theories, including material drawn from the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These allegations are not reliable accounts of Jewish people or organisations. Irving Books presents this material for historical research, critical study and documentary reference, and does not endorse its claims or views.

The four-volume series

Authorship and historical context

Henry Ford owned and financed The Dearborn Independent. Its staff, under editor William J. Cameron, produced the articles in 1920–1922. In 1927 Ford issued a public apology and retraction. Original titles and headings are retained as historical evidence, not as the conclusions of this edition.
